Preferred Provider Organization (PPO)
Century Health Solutions, Inc. is described as a preferred provider organization (PPO). A PPO is an organization that contracts with select providers of medical care, hereafter referred to as preferred or participating providers. Members/patients are encouraged to use network providers in order to gain better benefits and higher levels of coverage. Preferred providers have agreed to a discount for services and to submit claims for members/patients. The PPO is offered through insurance companies, employers, group health plans, and other organizations.

Century Health Solutions, Inc. contracts with over 6,000 providers throughout the state of Kansas and referral areas in Missouri, Nebraska, and Oklahoma.

Eligibility / Claim Questions
Century Health Solutions, Inc. is a provider network and not an insurance company. Questions related to member eligibility, benefits, and claim payments should be directed to the payer or third party administrator shown on your identification card. If you need assistance with identifying your payer, go to Contact Us or notify our office by phone or fax.

Payer / Third Party Administrator (TPA)
A payer is an entity that pays for and underwrites coverage for health care expenses. A TPA is an entity that administers group benefits, claims, and other services for a self-insured company or group. A TPA does not underwrite the risk for health care expenses.

Pre-certification
Pre-certification is the review of the need for inpatient hospital care or other services. Pre-certification authorization may be obtained from Century Health Solutions, Inc. or your payer/TPA. Please refer to your identification card or plan booklet for instructions regarding pre-certification.
